We can help you transform, restore or innovate.
Transformation
Few people would have seen any potential in the old Dalgety laboratory in Washdyke, but Tony Boyce is a man with vision, and with his magic touch this once-unloved building has been given a new lease on life. Transported to nearby Totara Valley, Tony and his team transformed this ‘ugly duckling’ into a veritable swan – an off-the grid eco-home with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and generous living areas. The interior glows with the warmth of recycled timber joinery, and the massive timber beams that span the lounge ceiling were once part of a local bridge.
From concept to completion, this project is an environmentally friendly example of the transformation that can take place when great ideas meet technical expertise. If you’d like help realising the potential in your building or piece of land, get in touch and let our vision help you find yours.
Restoration
Restoring a 100-year-old homestead to its former glory is a big responsibility, particularly when it’s a much-loved family home and an important part of local history. This was the challenge presented to the Tony Boyce Building crew in 2018 and it was a challenge they gladly accepted.
Concept planning and design work focused on bringing this grand old lady into the 21st century while retaining her charm and the best of her character features. Blending character with modern family living can be tricky, but in the Morven homestead it’s been handled very well, and the family are proud to have a home that will continue to stand the test of time.
Innovation
Dairy sheds may not sound like a very interesting build, but for Alvin Reid the completion of his robotic dairy shed near Pleasant Point was a moment of great excitement. This was Alvin’s sixth dairy shed build with us, and his exacting standards and high expectations have helped us develop experience and expertise in this field. Alvin has always been interested in electronics and has been a pioneer of robotic dairy farming in New Zealand – we’re proud to have worked with him to bring his vision to life. If you’re considering a new dairy shed or feed barn, get in touch with us, as we’ve got the skills and experience to help you build a sensible and sustainable building that will ensure you get the most from your investment.
